Press Release: Lendor appoints former Citi exec Jo Olivia Lee as COO
TUES, 28 JUNE - Lendor, a Singapore-based circular tech startup welcomes the appointment of Jo Olivia Lee as Chief Operating Officer who will be responsible for the continuous development of the app, platform services and infrastructure as well as overseeing administrative and operations for both the Singapore office and the recent launch of Lendor Thailand.
Prior to her new role, Jo was the Vice President of Customer Experience with Citi where she worked in digital channels and experience for global consumer banking in personal banking and wealth management. Her involvement in the startup scene began in 2013, where she was part of the founding team of Foodpanda logistics, leading the regional expansion for Southeast Asia till 2018.
Jo graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) on a Full Scholarship and Masters in International Business Management from Edinburgh Napier University. She champions for diversity, equity and inclusion and is a strong believer in giving back to the community and doing social good. On top of being a UN Women member, she’s also on the Board of Directors for Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics (HOME), a Voting Committee Member of Willing Hearts Soup Kitchen and an Inclusive Program Instructor for APSN, a social service agency.
“I am excited to be able to contribute to Lendor’s vision to be at the forefront of circular tech by encouraging collaborative consumption for both the conscious consumers and businesses to ultimately lead to reduced e-waste consumption,” Jo said. “Furthermore, with the global challenges of resource scarcity and climate change that we’re facing today, I look forward to championing Lendor’s value proposition to benefit capital and operational expenditures of businesses, whether SMEs, startups or MNCs while driving the facilitation of social responsibility and sustainable consumption patterns to further encourage the development of a circular economy, which we believe to be the economy of the future,” added Jo.
Jo’s appointment follows the recent expansion of Lendor in Thailand through a partnership with House of M, led by CEO Monmanus Tadaamnuaychai. House of M is an investment holding company established in 2020 with a commitment to sustainability.
“We are pleased to have Lendor as a part of our portfolio. Their mission in pursuing green initiatives in both the B2C and B2B industry is aligned with our principles as evident by their strong values and proven customer validation in Singapore. We hope to be able to scale in the Thailand market and drive circular tech here as we believe that the market is ready for products and services that are durable, recyclable, reusable and effective,” comments Monmanus.
Lendor is a pre-seed startup with approximately 3,000 tech devices circulated and over 10,000 subscribers in Singapore from April 2021 to 2022 with a delinquency rate at <2%. Some of their partners are Lenovo, Xiaomi and JK Technology and have served clients like Meta, Courts and PICO.
Lendor Thailand officially commenced in June 2022.
